    Payment Option: They accept a variety of payment options, including private pay, insurance (Blue Shield of CA, United Healthcare, Optum and Tricare West), and funding through programs like the San Diego Regional Center and the Self-Determination Program (SDP).

    Sunrise Therapies Provides Apraxia-informed Occupational Therapy & Holistic Support. In-home therapy, virtual coaching, online courses, and mentorship to help you confidently support the autistic individuals in your life. Also, proud partners with SPELLERS Center San Diego and Autistically Inclined.

    Payment Option: Sunrise Therapies is happy to provide superbills for possible insurance reimbursement (coverage varies by provider). Families enrolled in the Self-Determination Program may include this service in their spending plan.

  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY & SURF CAMPS

    OT with Ms Laura is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist OTR/L + LLC who hosts sessions at the OT Zone& collaborates with summer surf camps, Wave Huggers in Encinitas & Huntington Beach. Half day, full day or drop-in days available.

    Payment Options: Ms. Laura accepts private pay, works with San Diego Regional Center clients, and is available for families participating in the Self-Determination Program (SDP).

  • SPELLERS FOR NONSPEAKERS

    🗣️ Spellers – San Diego: Empowering Nonspeakers Through Communication

    Spellers – San Diego is dedicated to supporting nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals, particularly those with apraxia—a neurological motor planning disorder that affects purposeful movement, including speech. Spellers – San Diego helps individuals access their voice by teaching them to point to letters on a letterboard to spell out words, thoughts, and ideas. Many nonspeakers with apraxia are often underestimated.

    Payment Option: Families enrolled in the Self-Determination Program (SDP) can include Spellers – San Diego, or an in-home practitioner, under the “Communication Supports” or “Community Integration” category in their spending plan.

  • ADAPTIVE SWIM LESSONS & SAFETY

    Coach Jeff Swimming – A Trusted SDRC Vendor

    Coach Jeff Swimming is a proud vendor with the San Diego Regional Center, offering adaptive and inclusive swim instruction tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. With years of experience and a passion for helping every swimmer feel safe and confident in the water, Coach Jeff provides personalized swim lessons that support physical development, sensory regulation, and confidence-building

    Payment Option: Coach Jeff also works with families who utilize third-party funding sources, such as Community Interface Services and other Financial Management Services (FMS) providers through the Self-Determination Program (SDP)

  • APEX SOCIAL GROUP

    Apex Social Group provides specialized live‑in child care for families with children and young adults with developmental differences (autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, etc.). Apex matches your family with a carefully vetted Care Professional—often with a background in health, therapy, or education—who lives full-time in your home. They follow an Individualized Care Plan to integrate developmental support, therapeutic “homework,” and daily routines, partnering with therapists and educators to help your child thrive.

    Payment Option: Many families include Apex Social Group’s live‑in care services as a line item in their Self‑Determination Program (SDP) plan, typically under “In‑Home Support” or “Community Integration.”
